The One Who Has Called You by Name
If we are called by a man who understands and approves us, we must be happy. For an officer, it may be very important to get an opportunity to serve his nation, being called by his king; if an officer is called by the president and given an official duty, it must be a happy event for him.
Now we have been called by God the Creator, who is King of kings and Lord of lords. It is a great blessing that cannot be exchanged for anything else in the world. Through the Bible, let's find out the will of God who has called us and the blessings that we will receive.
Biblical individuals whom God called by name
Isa 45:1-4 "This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me."
It is God who called Cyrus, king of Persia, by name. When he didn't know God at all, God named him Cyrus and made him king of Persia. God had preordained everything. He opened the gates that were firmly shut, and broke down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron, so that Cyrus was able to gain a series of victories over Babylon. Cyrus was surprised to know that the Bible had already foretold his name and also prophesied about his defeating Babylon even before he was born. He acknowledged God as the true God (Ezr 1:1-4).
Jer 1:4-8 . . . "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." . . . "Do not say, ‘I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord . . .
As for the prophet Jeremiah, too, God said that He had already known him before he was formed in the womb, and that He had set him apart before he was born and appointed him as a prophet to the nations. When Jeremiah told God about his lack of ability in eloquence, God gave him more ability, saying, "For I'm with you, go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you."
The forefathers who answered God's call with faith
Just as God called Cyrus, king of Persia, to defeat Babylon and called Jeremiah to proclaim His words to all nations, He called His disciples to preach the gospel to Samaria and to the ends of the earth.
Mt 4:17-20 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him.
When God called His disciples by name, they didn't hesitate at all. Likewise, if God has chosen us and called us as His instruments, we should positively respond to God's call with faith.
Heb 11:6-16 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. "By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. . . . All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one."
Those who were called by God had absolute faith and trust in Him. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. When we absolutely believe and trust in God, we are able to be great prophets like Paul and Peter.
Those who were called by God didn't care about their physical situations when they were given a mission from God. Noah made a huge ark that was 135m long, 22m wide and 13m high in those ancient times. Even in these days, it is not easy to make such a big ship. However, Noah didn't care how much it would cost him or how difficult it would be. Since he knew that it was God who gave him everything or took it away from him, he prepared the ark with faith and he was able to save all his family in the end.
When Abraham was called, he left his country in obedience, even though he didn't know where he was going. Even without knowing why God called him, he absolutely believed that God was with him, and took pleasure in obeying His word. Of course, there were many difficulties and trials and errors, but he did everything that God commanded him with faith, and there was nothing impossible.
Those who were called by God had something in common: They all believed God's word absolutely. They knew that doing whatever God commanded them would bring them spiritual blessings without fail. As a result of their great faith, Abraham was blessed to enter Canaan flowing with milk and honey, and Noah, who had prepared the ark, was able to save himself and his family when God judged the world with the flood. Their labor in God was not in vain.
We have been called as the watchmen of truth
In these last days, we have been called by God as watchmen who give people warning from Him. God, who called His disciples as "fishers of men" 2,000 years ago, has called us to save all mankind. So, we are not the least any more, and it's not by chance that we are now here.
Eze 3:17 "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me."
Some may think that they have been called through evangelists. Actually, God already chose us before the creation of the world, and He has called us all in these last days. God has called us by name because He wants to lead all mankind to repentance and to the kingdom of heaven through us. Following this great will of God, we are to deliver God's message to people. This is preaching.
God wants us to give people warning from Him. Then, what should we preach to Samaria and to the ends of the earth? Let's find out the answer God has given us.
Isa 40:3-9 A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken." A voice says, "Cry out." And I said, "What shall I cry?" "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever." You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, "Here is your God!"
All men are like grass; their youth and beauty are transient, and everything passes in an instant. However, those who follow God's eternal word will enjoy everlasting life and delight in heaven forever. We should tell people to keep the new covenant, which is the will of God, in order for them to escape disasters, receive salvation and go to the everlasting kingdom of heaven. This is the mission of watchmen.
God already knows that we will be afraid and hesitate. So, He tells us not to fear but boldly proclaim the Spirit and the Bride to the whole world, shouting out, "Come and see God in Zion!"
God has called each and every one of us by name. All the efforts, which we put into the work of the gospel, are never in vain. Since God always gives us good results, the gospel work is worthy enough for us to put all our strength to. Sometimes we may face strong challenges and persecution or may become slandered and hindered. However, if we have firm faith and do the work of God, we will receive blessings in the end, as did Noah and Abraham.
"I will help you"
In these last days, God has called us to do the gospel work, and He has already removed all stumbling blocks on our way. The problem is that we do not fully believe God will lead and help us every step of the way and fail to understand God's mighty power. God says to us over and over again, "I will help you, I will be with you." Nevertheless, we become easily weighed down and weary, judging things by our own standards, and come to neglect the mission of the gospel given by God or become passive in preaching. However, as God has called us by name, if we keep going forward with faith, God will get rid of all obstacles.
We are prone to worry about our age or lack of speaking ability. Even Jeremiah, Moses and Gideon worried about the same things. However, we don't need to worry because God, who said, "I will truly help you," is with us always.
Sometimes we may depend on human wisdom and experiences, having no idea what preaching really is, what kind of preaching methods are more effective, or how we can bear fruit much. However, we don't need to do that at all. As God has commanded us to preach, we should just testify about God with firm faith. Then everything will go smoothly. When Peter, Andrew, John and James, who had lived on fishing all their lives, worked hard all night but caught nothing, Jesus told them, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets." They did as Jesus told them, and as a result, they were blessed with an abundant net-breaking catch of fish. Thus, true experts in the gospel reply on God and follow His word, not their own thoughts.
God told us just to follow Him because He would go ahead of us and do everything for us. He also told us to preach the gospel to people around the world because He put His word in our mouths. God has already prepared everything, so if we just preach to them, they will have life and be saved.
Now, the world evangelism is being accomplished very rapidly because the truth about Father and Mother is being preached to the whole world, as prophesied in the Bible. At first we thought it would be difficult. However, as we believe in the prophecies and boldly preach God who dwells in Zion, our heavenly family members are now coming to Zion continuously one after another. It is not a system or rule that the people in the world really want, but they are waiting for God Himself.
God Elohim who have called us by name
We should take more pleasure in spiritual things than in earthly things, looking forward to the kingdom of heaven. If we live the same way as the people in this world do, we cannot say we are called by God and we will fail to enter the kingdom of God. People in the world set their minds on earthly things, but we regard heavenly things as precious. That's why there is a difference between their destination and ours.
We believe in God Elohim, and have been called to testify about God Elohim as Their witnesses. So, we should go to Samaria and to the ends of the earth without hesitation. Let's meet our God Elohim, who have given us life and breath, through Genesis chapter 1 which can be called a blueprint for God's redemption work.
Ge 1:26-28 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
The plural God Elohim created man, saying, "Let us make man in our image," and male and female were created. When man was made in God's own image, not in the image of angels or any other creatures, then male and female were created. Therefore, we can easily understand that there are both the male and female Gods. If God of the male image is God the Father, God of the female image must be God the Mother.
It is God the Father and God the Mother who created us. In order to make us the most perfect ever since the creation of mankind, God the Father and God the Mother have been working together. We cannot be spiritually perfect if we only believe in God the Father and exclude God the Mother, while claiming that we believe in God. It would be folly to desire to receive salvation from God who is perfect, only having a half faith in God.
Elohists who proclaim the glory of God Elohim
We are the Elohists who believe in God Elohim: God the Father and God the Mother. It is prophesied that God Elohim will come to this earth and summon Elohists by name in the last days.
Rev 14:1-4 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. . . . These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.
During the 6,000 years of God' redemption work, many people were still living by faith when they died, but they did not receive the things promised. However, in these last days, God the Mother, who is the source of eternal life—what God has promised us, appears and gives birth to us, the children of promise. So the Bible describes the people, who are born of God the Father and God the Mother—children of God Elohim, as the firstfruits, and also says that they are greatly blessed.
God Elohim have promised that They would give Their children the royal priesthood of heaven and even the authority to rule over all the creatures in the universe. This great privilege is given only to the children of God Elohim. In this age, we are able to see God Elohim face to face, who called us by name before the creation of the world. How greatly blessed to see God Elohim near, who chose and called us from the beginning of the world. How blessed we are!
2,000 years ago, Jesus complimented Mary, who loved to listen to Jesus and see Him face to face. We, too, should have the same kind of attitude towards God as her. When God Elohim is near, we should diligently listen to Their words of blessing and continuously ask Them for wisdom. In addition, we also have to plant God's love in the hearts of people around the world by preaching the good news to them and sharing God's blessings with them, so that the whole world will know the holy names of God the Father and God the Mother. Every prophecy of God is to be fulfilled without fail even though Satan tries to thwart it by every means possible.
Now the prophecies of the Bible are being fulfilled in accordance with the will of Father and Mother. Let's proclaim the love of God Elohim and the new covenant to the whole world, so that all people will know the suffering and sacrifice of Father and Mother. Throughout all ages, the people, whom God called by name, all had absolute faith in God and received great blessings from Him. Let's preach God Elohim, who are with us, with boldness, like the prophets who completely depended on God's word, not their experiences and circumstances. We should be proud of the fact that we are the Elohists who are the perfect, eternal creatures of God Elohim.
Our lives are too short just as the Bible says. Beauty is fleeting and youth disappears in a flash. My loving brothers and sisters in Zion, let's put all our efforts into storing up many rewards in heaven, where we will live forever and ever.
