The Value of the New Name

Receiving God means believing in His name (Jn 1:12). We, who are in Zion, already know the name of God―the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We've received the Christ who has come in the new name and become witnesses testifying to the new name, the Savior's name in the age of the Holy Spirit. We pray in the new name and praise the new name; we've been saved by believing in the new name.

God's name has great power in the spiritual world. Now, let's consider how great the new name, the Savior's name in the age of the Holy Spirit, is, how valuable the name of His Bride, the new Jerusalem our Mother, is and how important the names are for us, Their children.

A name which skyrocketed the price of a necklace

An American dropped into a secondhand shop to buy his wife a present, upon returning from his journey to Paris, France. There he chose an antique necklace and purchased it cheaply at a price of ten dollars. But he was required to pay over a thousand dollars in customs duty on the necklace when he arrived in the U.S.A. He protested to a customs official against imposing a high duty on such a cheap article, but the officer said that he would seize the necklace unless he paid the customs tax.

He felt that there was something about the necklace; after paying the tax, he passed through customs. And then he went to a jewelry store for an expert opinion. The jewelry shop owner viewed the necklace through a gem microscope, and proposed to purchase it for ten thousand dollars. He was surprised that the price of the necklace, which he had bought just for ten dollars, jumped to ten thousand dollars. He went to another jewelry store to get a second opinion, and the owner asked him to sell the necklace for twenty thousand dollars. He became curious because the price of the necklace jumped so high, and asked the jewelry store's owner the reason for the jump in the price of the necklace. Then the owner let him see the back of the necklace through a magnifying glass. There was a tiny passage written on it as follows:

"Napoleon to Josephine."

The necklace itself was worth less than ten dollars. But the name"Napoleon" raised the value of the article to be worth ten or twenty thousand dollars.

There are many cases in which a specific person's name enhances the value of an article. An ordinary ball, though it does not have a different quality than other balls, has a special value if it is signed by a famous athlete; its value increases as times goes by. These days, many people prefer luxury goods; the value of each item depends on who has made it, what artisan's name is written on it.

Among the numerous creatures, we are the ones on whom God's name has been engraved. How valuable are we We are God's masterpiece recognized in heaven, aren't we

The new name engraved on the foreheads of the children of heaven

The 144,000 are the ones who have God's name written on their foreheads. It is a great blessing given only to the children of Zion.

Rev 14:1 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

The Lamb's name and the Father's name are written on the foreheads of the 144,000. The necklace with Napoleon's name engraved on it has a great value. How much more valuable are we For God has written His precious name on us.

Rev 2:17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it."

Rev 3:12 "Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name."

God has put His seal on us, His children, by inscribing the new name and the name of the new Jerusalem on our foreheads, so that no plague may befall us and that we may become valuable beings recognized even in heaven (Revelation 7, 14).

If we do not have the new name written on us, we will become worthless. Napoleon's name, the name of a mere man, made the common necklace valuable. In heaven, the holy name of God will make us more worthy.

Considering that, we have to honor God's name given to us and proclaim His name to the ends of the earth.

Some say that more people will receive the truth if we do not speak or teach in the new name. Absolutely not! The most precious thing is the new name written on our foreheads. What makes us valuable is the new name.

"My people will know My name"

Oriental artists usually stamp their personal seals bearing their own names on their paintings or handwritings when they satisfactorily complete their works. People see their signatures and evaluate their works.

Our God, King of kings and Lord of lords, who has all authority in heaven and on earth, has stamped His holy name upon us, His children. Since we are blameless in God's sight as the"firstfruits" of God's creatures, God has marked us with His own name (Rev 14:3-5).

Those marked with God's name are valuable beings even in heaven. We become a royal priesthood in heaven, because we have God's glorious name written on our foreheads, not because we are worthy by ourselves.

Because of God's name, we will be high above all the nations of the earth and the angels will envy us, just as the price of the necklace jumped up because Napoleon's name was inscribed on it.

When we proclaim the new name to the ends of the earth, we will become more valuable and the value of Zion will be raised. Those who oppose God try to profane His name, but God's people know His name and endeavor to proclaim it.

Isa 52:5-6 . . ."For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock," declares the Lord."And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed. Therefore my people will know my name; . . ."

God said that His people would know His name. The name of God in the age of the Father was Jehovah, and His name was Jesus in the age of the Son. In these last days, God has come to this earth as the Spirit and the Bride with the new name. We are God's people; we ought to know the name of God our Father and the name of our heavenly Mother, the new Jerusalem. For we may go to heaven or hell according to whether we believe in Their names or not, and by Them our value is determined.

The new name has the power of the forgiveness of sins and salvation

Napoleon's name just caused the price of the ten dollar necklace to rise to ten thousand dollars or twenty thousand dollars. However, the name of our God makes us inherit the whole universe. God has promised to give the eternal kingdom to His children who know the names of the Spirit and the Bride, the heavenly Father and Mother.

Ac 2:38 Peter replied," Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

The new name has the power of forgiveness for the sins of men who sinned in heaven and were cast down to the earth. There is no other name which has such great power in the world. Only in the name of God can we receive the forgiveness of our sins committed in heaven; only by believing in His name can we be saved and become His children, so that we may inherit the kingdom of heaven. We must take pride in the new name and boast that we are God's children.

Ac 16:27-31 . . . The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked,"Sirs, what must I do to be saved" They replied,"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved―you and your household."

The above verse shows that God's name was essential to salvation in the age of the Son, too. In the age of the Holy Spirit, only those who receive the new name can take the water of life."Believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong the Holy Spirit, and you and your household will be saved." This is to be fulfilled in this age, the age of the Holy Spirit.

The beast slanders God's name

God's name is very powerful. That's why the devil our enemy is continually blaspheming His name.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of the name of God (Mt 5:10-12). If we do not proclaim the new name for fear of persecution, God's name will be erased from our minds. But if we proclaim the name more boldly and confidently despite persecution, it will be inscribed more deeply within us.

Rev 13:4-6 Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked,"Who is like the beast Who can make war against him" The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven.

When the devil speaks against God, he will blaspheme something vitally important to Him, won't he It is prophesied that the beast will slander God's name. This shows that His name is so precious and valuable. When we proclaim the Christ who has come according to the Biblical prophecy in these last days, those who are deceived by the spirit of Satan blaspheme the name of God, Jesus' new name, just as people blasphemed the name of Jesus at His first coming, saying,"You, a mere man, claim to be God."

As the name"Napoleon" raised the value of an ordinary necklace, so the names of our heavenly Father and Mother enhance the value of us all, who were merely limited, mortal beings, to be blessed ones who will inherit the kingdom of heaven. The devil our wicked enemy knows that, and he tries to take away the name of our Father from us and erase the name of our Mother from our minds, so that we may not attain the eternal glory of heaven. We must not fall into this snare of Satan.

Let's inscribe the new name more deeply on the tablets of our hearts

The following passages in Proverbs make us realize that we are really blessed to know and have the name of God. Let's engrave His name more deeply in our hearts, so that the angels can clearly see the new name.

Pr 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, . . .

Pr 9:10 "The fear of the Lord is beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

The fear of God is the fear of His name and His existence, including the knowledge of all His plans and divine nature. This is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom which we, spiritual children, must have.

Now we know Christ's new name and the name of the new Jerusalem. The Bible teaches that we, who love God's name, are to continually proclaim His glorious name so that it may be praised in the world.

The glorious day is coming when the new name will startle all people in the world. The devil our enemy knows this; he intends to slander the new name and the church of God. We have to inscribe the new name even more deeply in our hearts and proclaim the name to all nations and exalt it, so that the glory of the heavenly Father and Mother will be revealed in the whole world.

"Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born in the ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now" (Gal 4:28-29). Since we have God's name written on our foreheads, we are supposed to be persecuted by those who do not have His name. We are to suffer in order that we may receive great glory owing to God's name, and it is also prophesied that we will be hated by all because of His name (Lk 21:17). In the end, however, we shall win victory in His name and receive the heavenly inheritance (Gal 4:28-31).

In the name of God we are being transformed into His likeness, beautiful on the inside and outside. By believing in the new name we have become God's children and received salvation, as valuable beings recognized in the spiritual world. Considering this fact, we should confidently boast in the new name before all people and boldly proclaim it to them.

Now, let's openly pronounce God's name on our foreheads, so that His name will be quickly proclaimed even to the ends of the earth. By believing and trusting in the new name, let's win victory and inherit the eternal kingdom of heaven as God's precious children.
