He Who Has an Ear Hears God's Voice
Most churches today claim to hear the word of God. Actually, they do not understand the meaning of God's word. The Bible says that they have an uncircumcised ear. How about us? We have eyes to see, ears to hear and minds to understand. Giving thanks to God, let's see what the uncircumcised ear means, through the Bible.
Those who have an uncircumcised ear
People commonly say of the person who is slow in understanding what others say, "He has a bad ear." Likewise, the Bible says of him who does not understand what God says, "He has an uncircumcised ear."
Many people around us claim to believe in God, but they do not make out what God's will is and take it wrong. God said, "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy" (Ex 20:8). However, they keep other day, not understanding God's word. That's why the Bible says that they have an uncircumcised ear.
Jer 6:10-15, KJV To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. ...
Through the Bible, God showed us the way to the truth and salvation. However, those who have an uncircumcised ear do not understand what God's true will is. They are not concerned to obey God's word, which is offensive to them. So God's anger against them burns and He says that He cannot hold it in any longer.
See today's churches! Do they obey God's word? If they obeyed, how could they ignore the word, "Worship no idol" or "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy?" If they obeyed, how could they easily turn away from God's holy feasts?
Isa 42:18-20 "Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, and see! Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one committed to me, blind like the servant of the LORD? You have seen many things, but have paid no attention; your ears are open, but you hear nothing."
Mt 13:14-17 "In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.' But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. "
Those whose ear is uncircumcised do not give ear to God's word or pay attention to it. They are the deaf in spirit. However, God's people whose ear is circumcised listen to His voice. It is really blessed to hear the words of truth.
Miserable end of the spiritual deaf
Jesus showed in advance the end of the spiritual deaf as follows:
Mt 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"
If they heard God's voice, they would recognize God the Father and God the Mother who have come into this earth and hear Their voice and celebrate all the feasts of the new covenant just as we do.
However, they reject all the truth; though hearing many things, they pay no attention. It's because their ear is uncircumcised. So, Jesus plainly said that they would never enter the kingdom of heaven, though they loudly call Him 'Lord, Lord.'
Jer 8:7-14 Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But my people do not know the requirements of the LORD. "How can you say, 'We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD,' when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely? The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. ... So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the LORD. ... 'Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the LORD our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.'"
Those whose ear is uncircumcised cling to deceit and refuse to return to God. What is the end of those who reject God's words? It's destruction. They will see such a miserable end coming upon them.
Considering all these things, we are bound to give thanks to God for giving us eyes to see and ears to hear. We, too, were the blind and the deaf in spirit. However, God has come into this earth and opened our spiritual eyes and ears, so that we can see and hear God's words. God said, "He who has ears, let him hear."
Hear God's voice and open the door
Through the long period of the Dark Ages, many have lost their ears to hear God's voice. Now is the time for their eyes and ears to be circumcised, so that they can see and hear God. For God Himself has come into this earth to save mankind. He is knocking on the door of our hearts, uttering His voice. In this age, we can directly hear God's voice since God Himself has come into the earth.
Rev 3:20 "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."
If a stranger knocks at the door, we will not open it easily. However, what if our father or mother tells us to open the door? We will hear his or her voice and open the door.
People have not heard God's voice for a long time, and they've forgotten His voice. So when they hear God's voice, some of them open the door, but some shut it more tightly. Unfortunately, even God's children, who have not heard His voice for so long, do not easily recognize the voices of their Father and Mother.
God's children are supposed to open the door of their hearts when they hear the voices of the Father and Mother and to receive them. When we, all God's children, recognize the voices of our Father and Mother and open the door, we will go back to our heavenly country. We should hasten the coming of the day, shouldn't we? Let's quicken our pace and preach the gospel more diligently.
God's sheep listen to His voice
Jn 10:16 "I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd."
Jn 10:27 "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."
Jn 8:47 "He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."
God's sheep know His voice. So in order to lead them to the Father and Mother quickly, we must speak only with God's voice, not with our own.
Now, God has come into this earth and is knocking at the door: Those who listen to His voice will receive Him, and those who do not hear will shut the door more tightly. By this, God will separate His people from those who are not His own.
Let's preach God's word to others with great boldness, as God told us. We don't need to think, 'Will they understand the word?' or 'What will they think of me when I tell the truth?' If we have such a thought in preaching the gospel to them, we may fail to lead them. Let's preach, having no doubt that God's sheep will listen to His voice.
Let the trumpet sound a clear call
Jn 18:37 ... Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."
1 Jn 4:5-6 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
Jesus distinguishes the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood through whether they listen to God's voice or not. He plainly said, "He who belongs to God hears what God says." Let's preach God's word with boldness, leaving everything to God.
Looking upon our past days, there was a great difference in results between the two cases-when we preached God's word confidently and when we preached it without boldness.
God told us to let the trumpet sound a clear call. Of course, God's people are to hear His voice. However, when the preacher gives an uncertain sound, they cannot easily recognize God's voice and it will take them much time to receive the truth. Whatever we preach, if we speak with God's voice, they will clearly understand.
A brother in Zion told me about his experiences during the preaching. He got an opportunity to speak God's words to an old lady living next door to him. At first, he told her about the vanity of life, but she seemed to be little interested in it. So he changed the subject and told her about God's commandments. Then she was surprised, and received the truth with great joy, saying that she found the true church at long last. I've heard that she is very eager to keep God's commands with a passionate heart like young adults. In another case, some received God immediately after hearing about the last secret described in the Bible.
Thus, our lost brothers and sisters are returning to Zion one after another, hearing the voices of the Father and Mother. God is our reason to be proud; let's boast of God all the more. Even those who have shut their minds tightly will surely hear God's voice and open the door if we preach confidently to them.
God's voice-"Celebrate the Passover"
Our Father said, "The more you practice the truth, the more you are renewed inwardly. If you do not practice the truth, your hearts become darkened and finally you will deny God."
2,000 years ago, God put great emphasis on the Passover. In these last days, too, He emphasizes repeatedly that His children should celebrate the Passover. We've already heard this voice of God. Let's preach more eagerly and lead many people to Zion.
Jn 6:53-57 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me."
This is God's promise of life. God's sheep are sure to hear this word. Jesus promised His flesh and blood on the Passover (Mt 26:17-28; Lk 22:19-20). He saved our souls from death by giving us eternal life through the Passover-which is the recipe necessary for the salvation of all men. Let's sound a clear call and lead them to hear God's voice; let them open their spiritual eyes and ears.
Now, the appointed time has come when God's children hear the voice of God and come out of Babylon. Believing the prophecies, let's sound the trumpet.
He who has an ear hears God's voice. Let's blow the trumpet of the gospel loudly and lead many souls to salvation. Then the glory of God our Father and Mother will be proclaimed to the ends of the earth.
