On March 27, Min-sik Kim (13) from the Songpa Church in Seoul won commendation from school for his good deeds. On March 10, he found a wallet in the street and gave it back to its owner with a nearby police stations help.

In the wallet were a $27,500 (US) promissory note, a large amount of money, rings and etc. He refused to be rewarded by the owner of wallet. Samjeon Police Station let Min-siks school, Seokchon Elementary School, know what he had done, and the school awarded him commendation for his good deeds.

Min-sik, who is still young, said shyly, Everyone would have acted the same as I did, and showed a big smile, saying, Im happy to see mom be pleased. Min-sik had been grieved over the loss of his father two years ago. His mother, Jeong-hwa Kim, gave glory to God, saying, I think that God gave him strength and encouragement by letting him be awarded.

Pastor Dong-rim Choi of the Songpa Church praised him and said, I think he was awarded because the children including him at Church have tried to do good deeds in obedience to Mothers teaching that to behave politely and study hard is to give glory to God. Pastor Choi said, Min-sik has shown a good example to the children in Zion, so that they will try harder to give glory to God by doing good deeds.

When Min-sik was praised for his smile, he said, I smile a lot because Im a child of God, and his mother said that she also always smiles brightly because she has hope for heaven. God will be pleased when all the members give more glory to God by following the word of God, Be the salt and light of the world.
