Dedication Services of the Six Churches in the Capital Area of Korea

  • Nation | Korea
  • Date | May 19, 2015
Six churches in the capital area of Korea had a more meaningful feast period, receiving the blessing of dedication service along with the Holy Spirit of the Day of Pentecost.

During the prayer week of the Day of Pentecost, six churches in the capital area of Korea were dedicated to God. Starting with the Sangye Church and the Wolgye Church in Seoul on May 19, the Bongcheon Church (20), the Mia Church and the Ogeum Church (21) in Seoul, and the Opo Church in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province (22), had the joy of dedicating new temples. So far, 22 churches had the dedication ceremonies in 2015.

Mother thanked Father for allowing us to have the dedication services during the feast when God gives more blessings, and blessed all the children with the Holy Spirit of the latter rain. Emphasizing the importance of prayers again, Mother said, “Receive the Holy Spirit abundantly by praying earnestly with faith, and fill the new temples with good fruits by preaching courageously with the power of the Holy Spirit.”

At every dedication ceremony, General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol emphasized the mission of the church in this age. Giving the premise that seeking God is the basic condition for salvation (Am 5:4), he said, “The Bible testifies that those who keep the new covenant know God (Jer 31:31–34). The role of the church is preaching the new covenant and Heavenly Mother to those who do not know God the Mother, the source of eternal life, even though they want salvation. When we shine the light of Heavenly Jerusalem Mother to all nations, spiritual darkness will retreat and all the prophecies of the Bible will be fulfilled. I hope that the new temples will be used for leading peoples of the world to Heavenly Mother” (Ro 1:18–20; 2 Th 1:7–10; Ge 1:26–27; Gal 4:26; Rev 22:17).

The members of each church shared the joy of dedicating new temples with the members from the neighboring churches. Saying, “It’s more meaningful and thankful as God has blessed us with the dedication service along with the Holy Spirit on the Pentecost,” they made up their minds to make the new temples heartwarming and comforting like Mother’s arms so that many souls can stay in peace.

The Sanggye Church in Seoul is well harmonized with the nature as it is located close to Suraksan Mountain and the Jungrangcheon Stream. It plays the role of a resting place to the residents as well as the members.

The Wolgye Church in Seoul whose exterior is made of metal looks clean and neat. The book café on the first floor is for the communication with neighbors.

The Bongcheon Church in Seoul is located in the residential area in Cheongrim-dong, Gwanak-gu. The ivory-colored building looks cozy.

The Mia Church in Seoul is located in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, which is a major transportation point in northern area of Seoul.

The Ogeum Church in Seoul whose building has three floors above ground and two floors below ground goes well with the community where there are many low buildings.

The Opo Church in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province is expected to play an important role of the gospel work as it is built in a spacious area of Gwangju, the city where rural and urban communities meet.
