First of all, I give eternal glory and thanks and praise to God, who's made me a worker of the new covenant and today, too, let me preach the gospel to all people in the world.

It was a great favor of God that Peruvian people received the light of life shining from the opposite of the earth; they'd never dreamed of the light coming from the east. I give thanks to God again for His saving us from deep darkness.

Among the past years, especially the year 2000 was meaningful to us. God opened a door for the overseas gospel work, that children of Zion could go abroad to preach the glad news of salvation like Paul. He blew a lofty aspiration and confidence into Korean members so that they might gather the lost precious brothers and sisters from the whole world.

I was also willingly preparing to participate in God's great work. On August 14, 2001, I was called to plant the seed of the gospel in Peru at last. It took a full day to fly to Peru from Korea. Peru was a country of hope to me. My heart was fluttered in the thought of meeting many Peruvian separated family who are seeking for the love and favor of God.

Next day, my wife and I arrived at Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima the Capital City of Peru. A Korean prophet, who had been working before me, and brother Carlos met our plane. With great joy, we hugged each other. My heart was burning; in this foreign country whose language and way of thinking and custom are different, God's children had been working for the gospel!

Leaving the airport, we headed for Zion in Covida. I'd heard from many people that South Americans are passionate. So I asked the prophet about that. He answered our members in Peru Zion are the same; and if there is difference, it will be that our Peruvian members are passionate for the eternal heavenly things not for the perishable earthly things. Deep emotions arose from my heart. I resolved I, too, would sacrifice myself for the kingdom of God, working together with the passionate Peruvian members.

After a while, we got to Zion in Covida. The members welcomed us wholeheartedly. Though our communication was poor, we were like-minded for the gospel. Every facial expression and gesture of them showed their passion for the gospel.

Next morning, I met women members devoting themselves for the glory of God. And in the evening I met youths; they ran to Zion as soon as they finished their work or study at school and studied God's word far into the night and delivered the gospel to neighbors. I also met men members helping big and small affairs of the Church more positively than their own, and pure children members following the teachings of the Bible with pretty hope for heaven.

It was a precious time to experience the word: "Neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow" (1 Cor. 3:7).

Meanwhile, I deeply thought, "How can I help Peruvian members offer their passion more wholly to God?" and continually devoted myself to prayer.

First of all, what was important was to know the value of the truth and to inscribe the word of the new covenant on their hearts and minds and even marrows; next was to recognize that when they can testify to the truth, they can save dying souls.

So all the members decided to participate in the Bible study once a week. They understood well that they could preach the secret of the gospel boldly only when they put on the full armor of God's word.

This passion for the gospel bore fruit firstly among the women members. Sister Jemy earnestly delivered the truth that she learned and the love of God to her neighbor Medalit. Finally, Yemy led her to Zion.

After Medalit was born again as God's child, she recognized the secret of this age, namely, Christ, and told the truth of the new covenant to her husband, that he was also born a child of Zion. Now Medalit regards the mission of preaching as precious and always comes 30 minutes before the meeting and read the Bible.

Her house is far from the Church, so she takes bus to get to the Church. She gets up at 5 o'clock in the morning and sends her husband Oscar to his work place and at 6 o'clock she goes out of her house with her 2 children, one in her arms and the other on his feet.

I felt so sorry for her trouble that I asked her, "Isn't it hard for you to get up so early in the morning and to return home late?" She said, "No. Vamos al cielo (No. We are going to heaven.)"

As the South Americans' passion was directed to the gospel, God blessed them with much fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Brother Mauro also has particular passion for the gospel. He runs a store. He not only sells goods but also gives treasure of truth. His great pleasure is to deliver God's word well to his customers and go to heaven together. Anyone who comes to his store has to hear the word of truth. He diligently preaches the gospel, that everybody in his down knows him.

One day, Mauro met a woman who came into his store to buy something. As he always did, he told her God's word sincerely. She was moved by the word and carefully listened to him with open mind.

This woman had been attending a church believing in a false second-coming Christ originated in Chile. She'd studied hard their doctrines, but she couldn't understand any of them. On the contrary, she'd found many of their interpretations against God's word. She'd hardened herself against them and God led her to Mauro preaching earnestly the Christ who came to bring salvation to us in the Age of the Holy Spirit.

After listening to the word of life, she said, "It's so precious news that my husband also may know this." Now the couple was born a son and a daughter of Zion. They are Sister Juana and Brother Luis. They thank God for His coming from the east and leading them to His light, and work hard for the gospel. Their delight is in saving dying souls with their mouths praising God.

Besides, many youths of Peru Zion are preaching gospel in other countries of South America, depending on the word that they will be given crowns of life when they faithfully follow the example of Christ who was sacrificed for the gospel of heavenly kingdom.

One of these faithful youth workers is Antonio preaching in Argentina. In Bolivia, John is seeking for the separated heavenly family. They are God's sons appointed before the creation. It is certain that Almighty God will be glorified by these youths' absolute faith.

Here, let me talk about Peru's present situation. The whole population of Peru is about twenty seven million. Among them, eight million live in Lima. About 60% of the population maintain their livelihood with under 2 dollars a day. Such a poor economic condition drives people to social crime like theft or robbery.

In broad daylight, thefts or robbers commit crime 100m before police-officers. Especially the Orientals and well-dressed people are their targets. Most Peruvians do not go out after 10p.m. for safety.

Under these difficult conditions, however, our members passionately preach God's word without complaints to fulfill the mission of 'One Soul Saving' with joyful heart, greeting, "Very Clear!"

All members in Zion! Let me introduce our Peruvian family's rallying word. Don't you shout together with us? Today, too, we go out to all the peoples and nations to seek for our lost heavenly family with passion given only to the 144,000.

"Ya! Estoy contento! Salvemos un alma! Para la gloria del Padre y la Madre!" (Ya! Cheer up! Save one soul! For the glory of Father and Mother!)
